Morrill Meadows Survey Responses
The Morrill Meadows Survey was conducted through the EngageKentParks.com website. To best reach the population surrounding the park 7,498 mailers were sent to residents, signs were placed in the park shelter, at the dog park, and in the YMCA. Additionally, 12 multi-family residential complexes were contacted, and a flyer was posted on KSD’s PeachJar. The survey was open from February 8th to February 28th, 2022 resulting in 110 responses, explained below.
As seen in the chart below 30.2% respondents go to the park at least once a week.

When asked about proximity to the park, 42% of park users stated they live 1 or more miles from the park and 72.7% get to the park by car while 26.4% walk.


The top 2 favorite activities of respondents are ‘Walk or Run’ and ‘Play with Kids’, followed by ‘Sit and Relax’, and ‘Other’- most write-ins were “dog park”.

Respondents were asked to respond to “How do you feel the current amenities at Morrill Meadows Park?” with either a 🙂 (smiling face), 😐 (neutral face), or ☹️ (frowning face). As seen in the chart above most amenities were given 🙂, and 🙂, while “Nature Trails” received the most ☹️.

Respondents are looking forward most to an improved playground and nature play opportunities.

The play elements that are most exciting to respondents are the Climber tower and the Nature Play.
