Park amenities include play equipment, pavilion with BBQ pits, a ¼ mile walking loop, open lawns, and a small, wooded area. The community provided input on a short survey about how to improve the park. The survey results are below.

Our short survey for Chestnut Ridge Park closed April 16, 2021. Thanks to all who participated, this is what we heard.
That 60.9% of respondents live within ¼ mile away from the par and visit the park at least weekly. 65.1% respondents get to the park by walking less than 1 mile.
The Top 4amenities used in the park are:
Walking Paths (93.1%)
Playground (69.4%)
Bathrooms (67.4%)
Picnic Tables/Shelter (57.6%)
When asked if more walking trails are wanted 52.4% answered “absolutely”.
We also asked if outdoor fitness equipment should be added and 62.9% said yes. Exercise stations could be added near the playground.
Written comments express concerns regarding vandalism and illegal activity. We are coordinating with other City departments on how to best address these concerns and make the park a safe place for all to enjoy.
